Dartmouth - Dartmouth lies at the mouth of the river Dart; a spectacular deep water estuary in South Devon. It is one of the great historic towns of England and is renowned as a holiday centre. It is surrounded by picturesque old towns and villages, steeped in history. The countryside is notable for is high rounded hills and steep sided valleys. The climate is warm in summer and mild in winter, average sunshine hours being the highest in the country.
